Cato! Cat-ahhhhhhhhh!

So I recently stopped in and high jacked my friend, Terilyn!  She was busily hanging clothes and helping customers and then BOOM... Caroline Jones!  LET'S DO THIS!!!

What you are about to see are the CATO MUST HAVES for this season and it is

SOOOOO GOOD!

We thought this outfit was a little edgy!  Look close... Those are holes in that shirt I'm wearing and those holes give you the freedom to be sexy or colorful, depending on your mood.  Kinda like eating red velvet donut holes on a bear skin rug;). And those SHOES!  They just scream The Bitch Is Back, Baby!

On to the tailored suit with a pop of MANDARIN! Who says suits have do be boring?!  Add the same color shoes and you're on your way to R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Sock it to me!

In the mood for COLOR?!  Blue is HOT right now and paired with these mind blowing Red Cone Heels, you're doing more for America than two lying politicians on a hot tin roof!

And I saved my FAV for last!  This skirt gives the feel of animal print without the clutter of it, and paired with this neutral, embellished top and DARLING GOLD SANDALS, it just screams... "I Am Woman!  Hear Me Roar!!!".

SALVE!

Trendy and Affordable

As I am packing for Easter in Estes Park, I am feeling soooo happy!
Well... Sure for the trip, but even more about the fun outfits I'm packing!!!

This trip it's all about the crop leggings, fun tops, and YEP... Cute heels!
One of my favorite places to stop in at is Rue 21.

Choke..... * Gasp* .......Judge away, ladies!  But whatever you do, DO NOT underestimate these trendy, affordable stores!

One of my favorite movies is The Devil Wears Prada.  And one of my favorite scenes involves the magazine editor giving the new assistant a tongue lashing on why fashion is so very important.
No it's not rocket science.  But it does affect the way you feel about yourself and those around you.
And since most of us aren't independently wealthy enough to "roll like Jessica Simpson", affordable is a good thing, especially when you want to stay on trend!

Don't let the name, Rue 21 fool you.  Yes I do realize I am not 21 anymore (Thank God!). And no I don't try to wear the tummy baring tops or the butt skimming shorts anymore so REST ASSURED!  But I am telling you that if you are anything like me, you are gonna need an affordable store to keep your hubby out of bankruptcy!

Rue 21 has cool and different jewelry, a great leggings line, and cute tops coming out of the woodwork!  Plus you can find your man a few things while you're shopping.

Now I'm not saying Rue has it all- no not at all.  Cato, Deb, and Vanity all have fun clothes at great prices!  I also go to my local boutiques for higher quality jeans and dressy things.  Because it's all about variety if you want to build up your wardrobe.

POSH AND PRECIOUS in Aurora is my favorite for unique, modern looks.  I just bought a pair of BLACK LEATHER SHORTS THAT ARE GONNA BLOW YOU AWAY!  It also carries a baby and toddler line that takes your breath away... Precious 'fo sho'!

Stefanie's Closet has a lot of the glam clothes I adore with TONS AND TONS of really fun jewelry!   Boutiques and smaller stores are definitely my "go to" as I'm often pressed for time and I like the unique clothes.  That doesn't mean you won't catch me at a department store, but my happy place involves fun, intimate, and trendy.

🐣Happy shopping and Happy Easter!🐣

Animal Print

Peak Photography

My beautiful daughter Lexi, wearing a leopard print top and black jacket while sporting her, "Oh no you didn't!" look.

And she looks FIERCE doing it as a leopard diva.

I ADORE THIS GIRL!

But was the leopard print the first thing you noticed?  Probably not.  Why, you ask?  Because it's a subtle pattern, paired with black and seen EVERYWHERE.

That's right, my darlings!  ANIMAL PRINT, in my opinion, has become a NEUTRAL!

You don't believe me?!  Look closer at my shirt and vest.  Just blends in beautifully, doesn't it!

I'll never forget when animal print was slowly coming back in style.  I was in college and I picked out a beautiful, subtle leopard print dress.  I swear to you I felt like I was BORN TO WEAR IT!

Animal print has a way of bringing out your confident, daring side.  As long as you wear it well and avoid the jumpsuit a few blogs back!  If you buy the jumpsuit, "daring just got scaring"!  Think Brigitte Bardot, NOT Bjork!

To pull off animal print, especially in the beginning, it's best to use it as an accent.
So if you have a beautiful black dress or a beige suit, throw on some animal print jewelry or a scarf.
BETTER YET- GET SOME SHOES WITH AN ANIMAL ACCENT TO THEM.

Wearer Beware: If you go out and buy a pair of sparkly, black zebra slippers, I will pretend I don't know you.

Go for something like these instead.

And don't be afraid to start stepping it up to tops or leggings as you get more comfortable with your inner lioness!  Just be sure to choose one or the other!!

TOO MUCH ANIMAL PRINT IS LIKE TOO MUCH WINE.  IT'S LOUD AND OBNOXIOUS AND JUST NOT LADY LIKE!

No one needs to see that.

 JY IS WELKOM!
